Hero or Traitor?

Edward Snowden, 29, who has admitted to stealing classified information while working for Booz Allen, a civilian contractor for the CIA, has been fired for disclosing details of the NSA phone monitoring program.

Ex-Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano, a contributor to Fox news, the other day described Snowden as a hero for bringing this information to the American people. I was flabbergasted that he would take that viewpoint.

When Snowden was hired by Booz Allen, he must have signed a non-disclosure agreement and took an oath not to reveal any classified information. He has violated that agreement and oath and committed a felony. He has revealed information that could possibly cause many Americans to lose their lives.

He has fled the U.S. to Hong Kong, China, a country that would be very interested in the information that he is carrying around with him. Any intelligence person with any salt would know that China has some very elite forces that could very easily kidnap him and force him to reveal this classified information.

It’s now been revealed that the Soviet Union has agreed to grant him asylum. Does that tell you anything?

Snowden is a criminal and he should be treated as one and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

No he is not a hero….if anything, he is a traitor.
